Location: Mt Eliza

Type: Residential

Task: To transform this block including the existing 1960’s brick house and overgrown cypress trees into a stylish and modern dwelling.

Overview: Working together with architect Murley Design, there was no denying the great potential this property had. With a grand vision, this tired and dated 1960’s home with an overgrown and unkept garden riddled with cypress trees, would soon be transformed into the ultimate beachside residence. With the property located a mere 800m from the Mt Eliza Village shopping precinct and the pristine beaches of the Mornington Peninsula, there was no doubt that this home would soon become the epitome of Peninsula living. Difficulties Faced: The challenges for this project in the form of tight deadlines that Conrad Construction were under to get the project completed. The family who was moving into the property, was moving out of their existing home within 6 months, meaning that the project had to be completed in quite a tight timeframe to meet these requirements. Solution: While construction time frames can be somewhat unpredictable with so many moving parts, Conrad Construction are experts at managing timelines and expectations. Through excellent project management, effective communication with trades and well executed use and planning of materials the project was delivered on time and within budget. Products Used: There was a wide range of quality products and materials that were used to bring this architectural vision to reality. Some of the products we used were: Terracotta shingle roof tiles Hebel power panels walls Tasmanian oak panelling to garage door Semi commercial windows Timber oak flooring Miele appliances and Vileroy and Boch sanitary hardware. Result The final result for this project was truly breathtaking. The expert craftsmanship from Conrad Construction is exhibited beautifully in this 5 bedroom, 3.5 bathroom masterpiece, that ticked all of the clients boxes. Complete with a double lockup garage, large alfresco area and a fully tiled pool this home truly is the entertainer’s dream. Not only is this home beautiful to look at, but it also was architecturally built with sustainability in mind, featuring a six star energy rating thanks to three purposefully installed water tanks, effective use of insulation to all floors, walls and ceilings and the installation of efficient refrigerated heating and cooling systems. The final touch was the beautifully manicured gardens to provide a garden oasis for the whole family to enjoy. Overall the clients were extremely happy with the final result of the project, and were able to move in, in line with the 6 month schedule, thanks to the excellent project management shown by the Conrad Construction team.
